The goal of this activity was to improve community skills in coconut processing, promote economic independence, and create new business opportunities based on local potential. Activities included observing village potential, testing product formulations, training in coconut chip production for women in the Family Welfare Movement (PKK), and mentoring on packaging and marketing strategies. The program's results demonstrated improved community skills in coconut processing, awareness of the added value of local products, and expanded market access, including through social media and online platforms. Impacts include increased product selling prices, entrepreneurial motivation, the creation of new jobs, and strengthening family finances. Supporting factors for success include the availability of raw materials, active community involvement, and support from the village and the University of Mataram Community Service Program (KKN PMD) team. The DSS was designed to assist caregivers in making informed meal selections based on individualized health profiles, including demographic data, medical conditions, and allergy history. Implemented as a web-based application, the system enables users to input resident data and receive prioritized dietary recommendations aligned with established nutritional criteria. The SAW algorithm processes multi-criteria input to rank food alternatives effectively. Empirical validation using real-world data demonstrated the system's capacity to generate accurate, personalized suggestions that support improved nutritional outcomes. Additionally, caregiver training and participatory implementation ensured practical usability and sustainability. This project highlights the potential of integrating algorithmic decision-making with community-based care to enhance the quality of elderly nutrition management in institutional settings.
2025-10-06T00:00:00+00:00 Copyright (c) 2025 Aris Rakhmadi, Anshori anshori https://baktinusa.unram.ac.id/index.php/baktinusa/article/view/148 INOVASI PEMANFAATAN SAMPAH PLASTIK MENJADI ECO-BRICK : STRATEGI PENINGKATAN KESADARAN LINGKUNGAN MASYARAKAT DI DESA BAGIK MANIS 2025-10-01T00:55:12+00:00 I Wayan Joniarta [email protected] Aljibran Aljibran [email protected] Gadis Ariva Fitrirayani [email protected] Tri Sari Rohayani [email protected] Lalu Muhammad Rifki [email protected] Gilang Febriyawan [email protected] Ghea Sabina Anggia Putri [email protected] Arbiatun Astiani [email protected] Dea Rara Hartati [email protected] Eji Supaerina [email protected] Sarina Adila Putri [email protected]
The phenomenon of plastic waste pollution has become a serious problem both globally and nationally, including in Bagik Manis Village, East Lombok Regency. Low public awareness of waste management has prompted students participating in the Community Service Program (KKN PMD) at Mataram University to implement an environmental education program that utilizes plastic waste to make eco-bricks. This study employed survey, interview, observation, and direct practice methods, including waste sorting, outreach, and eco-brick production. The results show an increase in public awareness of waste management, as evidenced by the increase in the number of residents using the village waste collection service from around 50 people to 80-90 people, as well as the involvement of 10 people in the practice of making eco-bricks, which were turned into benches and cushions. This program not only has an impact on reducing the volume of plastic waste, but also opens up economic opportunities through environmentally friendly products.
2025-10-22T00:00:00+00:00 Copyright (c) 2025 I Wayan Joniarta, Aljibran Aljibran, Gadis Ariva Fitrirayani, Tri Sari Rohayani, Lalu Muhammad Rifki, Gilang Febriyawan, Ghea Sabina Anggia Putri; Arbiatun Astiani, Dea Rara Hartati, Eji Supaerina, Sarina Adila Putri https://baktinusa.unram.ac.id/index.php/baktinusa/article/view/145 PENDAMPINGAN PEMBUATAN BRIKET TEMPURUNG KELAPA PADA KELOMPOK KWT IJO RIMBUN, LOMBOK UTARA 2025-06-30T01:18:10+00:00 Salman Salman [email protected] Sultan Sultan [email protected] Arif Mulyanto [email protected] IDK Okariawan [email protected] Muhamad Ali Imron [email protected]
The potential of coconut shell waste in Salut Village, North Lombok needs to be utilized into other products such as coconut shell charcoal briquettes. Communication devices such as mobile phones have become essential tools for coordination and access to information. However, limited access to electricity in farming areas often causes difficulties for farmers in charging their mobile devices. This community service activity was carried out in Desa Taman Ayu, Kecamatan Gerung, Kabupaten Lombok Barat, NTB, which is located near PLTU Jeranjang. Despite its proximity to energy infrastructure, communities in agricultural areas still experience limited direct access to electricity. Therefore, the community service team designed and implemented a simple Solar Power Plant (PLTS) system functioning as a charging station. The device was built with specifications of a 10 Wp solar panel, 12V battery, MPPT-type solar charge controller with a 5V USB port, and a lightweight steel frame with dimensions of 45 cm in height and 40 cm in width. The panel was designed to be static with a manually adjustable tilt angle according to needs. The implementation method included socialization, training, equipment installation, and trials with the community. The results showed that the device performed well in charging mobile devices, providing stable output through the USB port. The community’s response was highly positive, as the device offered a practical solution to energy problems in agricultural areas.
2025-11-21T00:00:00+00:00 Copyright (c) 2025 Sultan Sultan , Agung Budi Muljono, I Made Ari Nrartha, I Made Ginarsa, Sudi Mariyanto Al Sasongko, Made Sutha Yadnya, Desi widianty
